Brief Answer:
NOT WORRISOME BY ITSELF.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Firstly, I would request you to upload the entire
ultrasound scan report so that I can opine better.
Next, just the presence of fluid in the cervical canal does not mean anything in itself.
During
pregnancy, fluid is produced by the cervical glands, and it may be released and hence seen in the cervical canal.
If there are no other worrisome changes in the
cervix, there is no cause for concern.
For eg, if the cervical length is acceptable ( it should be more than more than 25 mm , to be considered within normal limits ) and there is no funneling seen ( opening up of the internal os of the cervical canal ) , then there is no cause for concern.
If you are not having any symptoms of preterm labour, such as pain, cramps, spotting or bleeding, then further do not worry.
As I said, please upload the entire report and provide a fuller background of your symptoms and history, so that you can have more specific guidance.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.
