What Does Heavy Vaginal Bleeding While On Mirena IUD Indicate?

Question: I have had mirena iud for almost 2 years and hardly bleed maybe spotting 3 days evrry month. Ive been heavy bleeding for a week now. Should i be concerned ?

When mirena iud is used,its normal to have spotting as described by you above.It usually settles down.
And now you say you have heavy bleeding.This may be due to infection.

Advice- please visit the Gynecologist (pref. who's placed this mirena IUD) or any nearby gynecologist for a thorough check-up and further management accordingly.
