What Does This TSH Level In A Person With Diabetes And CHF Indicate?
Thyroxine dose needs readjustment for achieving euthyroidism.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. TSH levels are increased than normal and indicate uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Your thyroxine dose needs to be adjusted to regain euthyroid state. One needs 1.7 mcg for every kg so multiply it with the weight in kg and that will be your required dosage. Usually i keep my patients at 200 mcg in one single day as thyroid hormones in reference range is mandatory to keep the physiology going smoothly.
Diabetes and CHF makes it more necessary to treat as hypothyroid status makes these comorbidities more damaging and needs monitoring.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
