Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,
Yes I've reviewed your Thyroid function report and let me assure you at first it's absolutely fine....
Ideally, had it been a person's first Thyroid function assay, there'd have been no need for any thyroxin supplementation.. but as per your description it seems that you're previously diagnosed with hypothyroidism..
Let me know few specific details so that I can guide you more specifically :
-Regarding Thyroid function -
Since how many years are you taking thyronorm ?
Was it always 50 mcg from the beginning only ?
Have you ever rechecked your thyroid function in between ?
Please share the last report of the thyroid function (whenever it might've done before this)..
Any other investigations done this time along with ? if yes then let me know the complete reports also..
Any other concern apart from the weight gain ? Any significant past/present medical/surgical history ?
Now regarding weight gain -
Have you checked specifically how much are you putting up/ able to loose ?
Please share your exact height, weight and waist circumference so that I can calculate the parameters for you..
Please let me know how are you controlling the diet, share your avg. daily diet plans briefly so that I can analyse what all need to be modified there and guide you accordingly.. (please avoid any smoking/ reduce alcohol if at all you do)..
Let me know if there's any further queries I'll glad to clarify..
Take Care
Kind Regards
