85 Years. Sharp Abdominal Pain, Constipation, Loss Of Appetite. Suggested To Stop Warfarin Due To Blood Being 9.5. No Relief From Painkillers And Laxative. Help

Hi,my 85 year old dad has been suffering with very sharp abdominal pain,constipation and loss of appetite for a few days,doctor gave him painkillers and laxative but he seems to be getting worse,he is on warfarin and nurse rang to say his blood was 9.5 and not let him take any warfarin tablets he seems to be getting worse.he never complains so i know he is in pain what can i do.hope you can help

Your dads hemoglobin 9,5 does not have to be caused by Warfin. This medicine makes him more prone to bleeding, but every bleeding has its source.
Abdominal pain, constipation, loss of appetite and low hemoglobin level sounds really like a colon cancer. Especially at the age of 85. Hemoglobin level is low because he is probably bleeding from gastrointestinal tract.
That is why I suggest your dad to do not wait anymore and have some tests done. Abdominal ultrasound and colonoscopy are strongly advisable.
