A hiatus hernia is when part of the stomach squeezes into the chest through an opening in the diaphragm called the hiatus. Endoscopy shows inflammation and transition of the stomach which are indicators of hiatus hernia. If you do not have any such finding on endoscopy then it is almost confirmed that the is no inflammation in your oesophagus and stomach.
