Any Advise For Experiencing Coldness And Pain On Tip Of Toes?

I have pain in the tip of my toes, primarily the big toes, and they feel cold when the rest of my body doesn't. Just wondering why. Poor circulation? gout? Should I go to Dr with it? I don't usually head to the doctor unless there is something major. But this is annoying and has been going on for a while now.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

You seem to be suffering from Perniosis OR Chilblains. Its due to vasoconstriction of blood vessels in response to cold.

Clinically it presents as itching, swelling, redness and sometimes pain(specially on rewarming).

Precautions required are:
Protection from cold specially cold water.
Keeping the body warm with special attention to the hands and feet(layered clothing is recommended).
Oral vasodilators like nifedepine can be given to prevent the blood vessels from constricting.

Normally with care and attention to the precautions this condtion resolves in 7-10 days.

take care
regards
