Are Heavy Bleeding And Cramping Normal After Mirena Insertion?
I had the mirena put in about two weeks ago,due to heavy bleeding ,I have cramping ,exspecially after i do heavy work it stops me in my tracks and i have to sit or lay down. I feel like my insides are falling out. Is this normal and can i do heavy work or do i need to take things easy for a while. Ive had no bleeding since mirena was inserted.
You have Mirena inserted about 2 weeks. You are feeling uncomfortable after that. After Mirena insertion, you might feel pain, dizziness, and bleeding. Spotting for a few days may occur. Your periods may be heavier, longer or irregular. After 2-3 months there may be little or no bleeding at all. Most side effects taper off over time as your body adjusts.
Yes, the symptoms you mentioned are considered normal after Mirena insertion. However, if you get fever, it can be indicative of sepsis, you need immediate medical attention. Manage stress, reduce anxiety. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
