my myleogram conclusion, degenerative disc changes at the l3-l4 level with diffuse moderate disc bulging as described above slightly asymmetrical disc bulging posteriorly on the left. partially calcified osteophyte is suggested involving the medial aspect of the of the aspect of the right l3-l4 facet joint which is causing some slight impingement upon the right lateral aspect of the lumbar thecal space at the l3-l4 level. prominent bony osteophyte projecting off of the inferior endplate of l4 on the left in the region of the l4-l5 neural foramen. my dr. said this meant nothing an that my back is fine is he right

1.All above findings in the scan are degenerative changes seen in the age related cases / weight bearing / hard working nature.
2.The disc at different levels causing mass effect on the nerve and theca sac / spinal chord. Which may cause patient symptomatic.
3.Osteophytes are bony out growth like a spike in nature - its a feature of degenerative changes.
4.Treatment in this cause starts with simple back exercises followed by physiotherapy.
5.Finally if exercise / physiotherapy dies not help - finally operative procedure is treatment of choice.
