What Does This Scan Report Of Spine Indicate?

Impression: •     Disc protrusion at L4-L5 vertebral level with central and right paracentral disc bulge abutting right exiting nerve root. •     Disc protrusion at L5-S1 vertebral level with diffuse disc bulge abutting exiting nerve root bilaterally.

Hello,

Since there is no compression, and these disc bulges are only abutting the nerve roots, these findings are compatible with herniated disc disease in the first stages. The treatment depends on your symptoms, initially, rest, NSAID drugs use and later physical therapy may help in such stages. Discuss with a spine specialist for these issues.
