At First Diagnosed With Chronic Pancreas Followed By Ulcers For Stomach Ache Hitting The Back As Well With Creon Not Helping Much?

I was diagnosis with "chronic pancreas" Now they tell me I may have an ulcer. The pain in my stomach can get quite bad, I vomits and it takes days to get back on the right track again.. I am taking the med they gave "Creon (pancrelipase) The pain hits the back bit yet they said we don't know anymore.

Hi.
Chronic pancreatitis can cause pain in abdomen and back.
Ulcers have to be diagnosed with an Endoscopy only, so ask for one to diagnose or to rule out this possibility. Ulcer too can cause the similar type of pain.
I hope you have been confirmed to have pancreatitis by CT or better by MRI.
You may need to increase the dose of creon , which has to be taken with food for it to be effective and this helps in digestion and reducing pain.
You may have to take an additional pain-killer as an when necessary.
