Ate Blackberries, White Larva On Them, Could Cause Intestinal Problems. Treatment?
my son ate a bunch of blackberries, they were berries i had picked... i didn t notice till after he ate a bunch of them that there were a bunch of little white worm things on them.. i didn t a bunch of research on the internet,.... some websites are saying it may be larva and could cause intestinal problems if the larva hatches and attaches itself to my sons intestines... what do i do?
Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. They may be larva of the intestinal worms like round worm etc. or may be the larva of the other insects, or adult worms. What ever they may be nothing to worry about. If they are external they will be digested by the enzymes of the intestine. If they are larvae of intestinal worms they will grow in the intestine of the boy as adult worms as it is commen with many of the children. and will be cleared by the anti helminthic drugs.
Other wise also the eggs and larva are spread over the green leafy vegetables and tubers and many vegetables to get acess to the intestines to grow as intestinal worms. so while cleaning and cooking also care should be taken to kill those eggs and larva. tape worm larva are transmitted through the pork.
Dont worry consult a doctor he will priscribe the correct dose of appropriate anti helminthic .Thanks for calling.
