Baby Has Pyogenic Granuloma On Navel. What Treatment Should Be Taken To Get Relief?

My 9 month old has a pyogenic granuloma? On his belly button. At 6 months his doc used what looked like a q tip with some black stuff on it and we weren t able to give him a bath for 2 days. But now it has come back after 3 m. I noticed it maybe 1 week ago and tonight it just looks really big. Bigger then it s ever been. What can I do to get rid of it, does it bother him, and why did it come back?
