Spec Nature: BIOPSY Spec Site: LEFT FALLOPIAN TUBE History: Ectopic Pregnancy Gross:Specimen container is labeled with the patient's name and medical record number and unmarked for site. Received in formalin are multiple dark brown hemorrhagic tissue fragments collectively measuring 4.5 cm x 4.0 cm x 3.0 cm. Serial sectioning reveals dark brown hemorrhagic soft cut surface. No vesicular structure or fetal parts identified. Random sections are taken and submitted in blocks (A-D).
Diagnosis: Left FALLOPIAN TUBE,BIOPSY Findings are consistent with ectopic tubal pregnancy.

Your biopsy report reveals that multiple dark brown hemorrhagic tissue pieces recovered from your left fallopian tube show hemorrhage and clot it is consistent with diagnosis that you had tubal ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy is any pregnancy that occurs outside the uterine cavity. Pregnancies in the fallopian tube account for 97 percent of ectopic pregnancies.Ectopic pregnancy is suspected if transabdominal ultrasonography does not show an intrauterine gestational sac and the patient’s beta-hCG level is greater than 6,500 mIU per mL hope this information is helpful for you! take care!
