hello,
how often do you visit your dentist?have you got your teeth checked for decay or calculs deposits?
the black dot may be either due to plaque qnd food debris accumulation.this will result in a heavy band of black calcific deposits called calculus.or it can be stains too.
deep scaling and polishing will remove this.
if there is dental caries, which can be felt by probing, then it should be restored using suitable filling materials .if the dacay is deep, apply dycal and then glass ionomer or composite resin.
always brush your teeth twice daily using soft toothbrush and dental floss.
wash your mouth after every meals.
get a check up in every 6 months.
use chlorhexidine gluconate containing mouthwash to prevent accumulation of micro-organisms.

Hello & welcome,

If there is a small black dot on your teeth that means teeth might have started decaying.

If that dot is disappearing, that may be due to accumulation of plaque or saliva or any other food debris on it.

You need to undergo proper clinical examination to rule out staining which may occur sometimes depending upon eating & cleaning habits.

X-ray, too can be done if that dot is related to tooth decay so as to check the extent of caries. This is because usually caries with pin point appearance on surface may extend in triangular shape within teeth & that means what we see as a pin point or small size may have more destructed tooth material underneath.

So visit your dentist & get it cleared.

Take care
