Bleeding After Sex, Discomfort, Vaginal Discharge. Cervical Ectropian Done After Pregnancy. Cure?
hi, i have had cervical ectropian since my first pregnancy 8 yrs ago. It has recently started to cause bleeding after sex and some discomfort after, so i had treatment for it yesterday. I m pleased to say that I haven t had any bleeding but i have lots of really runny trickles from the vagina which appear more like wee! is this normal?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Cervical ectropion is erosion of the cervical lining. Due to this erosion the cervical surface becomes prone to bleeding on slightest touch. Sexual activity can lead to bleeding after sexual activity. As you have mentioned that the condition is treated. Cervical erosion is commonly treated by LEEP or by cryosurgery. These procedures are associated with increased discharge after treatment and release of small bits of tissue. The increased secretions will diminish with time. So, there is nothing to worry.
