Bloating After Eating Food, Hard To Digest. What Can I Do?

I have stomach issues. I always have. I run 15-20 miles a week and workout an hour every day. I drink 8 cups of water a day and eat fairly healthy, with some sweets here and there. But my stomach always gets bloated and hard to digest food, no matter what I do. I have tried so much to help my stomach not feel so bloated. What can I do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having gastritis.

You should get yourself clinically examined and investigated.
An endoscopy along with Liver Function Test ( LFT ) will be helpful.

You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg for relief from your symptoms. A digestive enzyme preparation containing pepsin and fungal diastase after meals will also be helpful.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Avoid self medications, especially pain killers and steroids.
6.Avoid excessive gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.
7.Avoid eating fast and talking while eating.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
