Bright Red Bleeding From Anus, Occurred After Passing Gas. Colonoscopy Scheduled. Cause Of Worry?

I had blood from my anus , it was a one time thing, bright red and it was not even during a bowel movement . I was in the bathroom emptying my bladder and I passed gas. It came out almost like a (excuse me for saying this) wet fart . I have a dr appointment on Tuesday for an colonoscopy, but I am concerned..Your thoughts please,,

Can be some Malignant Growth in the Sygmoid colon or below upto the Anal opening and it need not be always. Better to wait for the Scan results...............Dr. Somanath Krishnan
