Burning, Tingling, Piercing Rash On The Back Of Both Of Thighs, History Of Shingles. Is This Shingles?

I have burning, tingling & piercing rash on the back of both of my thighs, approx mid line, I also have had tingling numbness on my right outer thigh in front that radiates to where the rash is, the tingling/numbing sensation started 3-4 days prior to the rash appearing. I had shingles 7 years ago (text book, on my mid back to right side). I m thinking I have shingles again??

This might be due to the relapse of herpes infection which we call as Varicella Zoster infection. This is seen when there is an immunodeficient condition. Can be cured by using acyclovir- antiviral drug under medical supervision.I suggest to get an opinion from your physician.Hope this helps.Take care.
