Can IUD Inset Cause Blood Blisters /bruises?

Hi,I have a Mirana IUD. I had intercourse with my boyfriend the other night and after he noticed a blood blister that turned into a bruise. Could this have been caused by my IUD? I did not feel anything strange. He claims he hit something or felt something.
