Hi,

It is unlikely to cause kidney damage. The most common side effects of telekast (montelukast) include headache, heart burn, stomach pain, diarrhea, joint pains, and liver dysfunction. There's no documented evidence of any harmful effects on the kidney.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
