I had a RHC 5 months ago that showed normal pressures-- PA 28/12, Mean PA 16, PCWP 10. Becasue I was still having dyspnea and had a CPET that showed gas exchange abnormality, my doctor decided to do a RHC with exercise, but I never did exercise because the presures had changed. The new pressure was PA 48/23, Mean PA 31, PCWP 23. He diagnosed diastolic dysfunction and heart failure. I am 39 years old, no HTN, no sleep apnea, no CAD. I exercise regualrly and normally I push to the top end of my heart rate. Is this O.K. to do? Is it still O.K. to lift weights?
