Can Headaches, Chills, Sore Throat And Cough With Phlegm Be Treated With Medication?

I have a headache, chills and shakes, very sore throat with bumps and a green stripe at the back, runny nose, congested and a very phlemy cough that hurts my chest. It's been over a week now. Is it something I need to see a dr for and get meds or just let it run it's course?

Emergency Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi, As per the symptoms that you are telling, need a antibiotic course. It seems like you have some respiratory tract infection.

I will advise you to see your General physician for antibiotic and other blood test examination.

Regards,
Dr. Vivek
