Can Hearing Device Causes Any Problems?

Good Evening,
I am Lakshmanan from Erode, Tamil nadu, India. Since last 2 years My mother is suffered from Earing problem (both). We had also consulted in our local ENT Specialist, But they told that, Earing capacity on your mother's level is lagging from 20% to 40% loss, due to less health maintenance and Heredity disease. Also thay suggest the EARing device, But We feel, If we use this device,may some problem come from use of this. So pls help me...,
