Hi I am Manu and takining Yasmin birth control pills and i am on my day 19th, tomorrow i am having pooja in home and i am feeling back ache and light cramps around stomach, can i take primolute - N today along with the yasmin tablet? Pls suggest I am confused.
It is your day 19 of menses tomorrow on the day of Pooja. So you are not worried about having menses on the Pooja day. It seems you want some remedy to get you relief from the back ache and cramps.
No Manu, Primolut-N will not give you that relief. You have to take some pain killer to get relief from these aches and pains. Paracetamol also will be good. Otherwise you may opt for diclofenac. The later tablet is known to increase stomach acidity. Hence, take Pantoprazole before you take diclofenac. Take it on full stomach only.
You need not take Primolut N for postponing your periods. You are already on Yasmin, which is an oral contraceptive. For postponing the periods, just do not stop after you complete first 21 tablets nor start the white tablets which you are supposed to take from day 22 through day 28. Instead, start from day 1 pill of a new pack. Continue the pills till the pooja in your home is over. Then Discontinue the pills. You will get menses within 4-7 days.
Now discard the remaining pills from the second pack and start new pack from day 1 or day 2 of the menses.
I hope this helps you.
