Can Pain In Groin And Knees Be Symptoms Of Septic Arthritis?

Since last 3 months i am having itching on my testicles. My doctor diagnosed as fungal infection and recommended to use a ointment for 3 weeks. After that he gace me some fungicide and antibiotics. In the meantime, I developed pain in groin area and knees. Could this be septic arthritis? If yes, can it be cured with antibiotics alone?
