Can Regular Wine Intake Lower White Blood Cell (WBC) Count?

I just had blood tests done and found out my WBC is 3.6. I am scheduled to have facelift surgery in three weeks. The dictor said the results of all the blood tests were acceptable, but now I am worried. I drink alcohol on a regular basis; only white wine, since the surgeon said red wine is a blood thinner so to stay away from that. I drink about four glasses of white wine, actually not every night but almost every night. Could this be causing the low WBC?

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
A low white blood cell count usually is caused by Viral infections that temporarily disrupt bone marrow function.
Autoimmune disorders that destroy white blood cells or bone marrow cells
Overwhelming infections that use up white blood cells faster than they can be produced.
Drugs that destroy white blood cells or damage bone marrow.Wine as such has not been shown to have any association with low counts.
hope this helps!
