Can Taking Cymbalta And Klonopin Be Safe For Tiredness And Chest Pain?

I was recently put on Cymbalta, & Kolonopin. I had told my doctor that I am extremly tired all the time and I have been getting chest pains. My doctor thinks I have anxiety, but I am not stressed at all. I do have mitral valve prolapse and a mild-moderate case of mitral valve regurgitation. Could this be what is making me tired all the time, and the reason I am having chest pains? I am not understanding why my doctor wants me on an antidepressant if I am not depressed.

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I think you must first visit a cardiologist for proper evaluation of current status of your MVP. The chest pain and tiredness can easily be due to cardiac issues.
Even when your doctor thinks that your tiredness is due to anxiety, I think klonopin is not a good choice because it keep you drowsy and you will feel more tired. Secondly, withdrawing from cymbalta after 4-6 months of its use will become difficult as it causes withdrawal symptoms.
Please discuss this with your doctor.
Thanks.
