Can Taking Diovan For High BP Cause Pain In Face, Gums By Widening Blood Vessels?

I am taking diovan 80 mg for high blood pressure. I have developed pain in my right cheek and also my gums. My ENT thinks I might have trigeminal neuralgia and has prescribed gabapentin. Is it possible that the diovan is causing the pain in my face and gums by widening my blood vessels?

Hello

Thanks for the query

Valsartan does not cause pain in the cheek and gums. Your ENT doctor might be right about trigeminal neuralgia as your symptoms fit into the diagnosis perfectly. Continue taking gabapentin

I hope I was of help
