I had a water skiing accident 20 years ago and landed on my left ear. This ear has been hurting since then. I saw an ENT physician at the time and he removed what he said was a big scab about the size of a quarter from the ear. I continue to have pain 99% of the time. I also feel air going through my ear as I breath in and out. I have also had fluid - water, milk, soda, juice come out of the left ear when I swallow. There is also pressure and a swollen area just under my ear. I have been to the doctor many times thinking perhaps I had an infection when the pain is real bad - I never have an infection. I also have problems with vertigo, balance and dizzyness. Could this mean I have a hole in my ear drum and if so can it be fixed? It is driving me crazy.
