Hi welcome to HCM
Dear , Recovering from
meniscus surgery is generally a straightforward process .
Not every torn meniscus will require surgery. However you have undergone one and doing fine is good thing .
You have to keep in mind few points for early recovery :
You should actually be encouraged to move around as much as tolerated. and increase activity level gradually .This is important because it minimizes
muscle atrophy, minimizes the risk of
blood clots, and helps your lungs recover from the
anesthesia.
Deep breathing will give you inner strength and help in early recovery
Avoid deep squats or pivoting and twisting on that leg for a few weeks .
Assistance from physiotherapists will be helpful .
Full recovery requires elimination of swelling, and regaining full range of motion and strength.
A level spoon of turmeric powder in a cup of hot milk in BF and bed time , as well as
Aloe Vera juice .helps alley pain and swelling and accelerates recovery .
Avoid deep squats or pivoting and twisting on that leg for a few weeks .
Assistance from physiotherapists will be helpful .
Hope this helps solve your query Take care All the best
