Child. On And Off Fever With Sore Throat And Stomach Pain, Mild UTI. On Fevago, Expect PD Cough Syrup And Azithromycin For UTI. Guide
my daughter of 4 years old is suffering from fever, cough from last Saturday. the fever is coming and going and is around 102 degree F with leg pain. From Monday evening to Wednesday afternoon she had no fever but on Wednesday she developed signs of fever 101 degree F around. She has also developed sore throat and is complaining of stomach pain. She also has a mild UTI. We are giving her Fevago 250 mg for fever, Expect PD cough Syrup 1/2 tbs thrice a day and azithromycin 200mg for UTI. Please guide us in this case as why the fever is persisting and increasing and decreasing frequently.
I can understand your concern. The medication being provided are adequate for sore throat but not for UTI. I would have appreciated if you had shared the investigation findings so that a proper guidance could have been provided. Apart from sore throat, UTI other causes of fever that need to be excluded are tyhpoid, malaria, etc which can be confirmed or excluded only by investigations. It will be better you discuss with the doctor and get the necessary investigations done.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
