My child is 35 month and local doctor here diagonised as allergic bronchitis . Lot of cold flu followed by sometimes mild bronchitis is happening now and mainly happening in cold and rainy seasons. So is it due to cold or some other allergic chemical or materials. And can you suggest the natural prevention(Not Medicine) or cleanness of homes that we can do not to happen again? Best Regards Rabindra Manandhar
At your daughter's age, she would be expected to have up to nine colds per year as she builds up her immunity.
Allergies and cold virus can cause similar symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing and cough. The difference may be: a fever may occur with a cold,
(2) a cold should last no more than 2 weeks while allergies may last longer as long as the person is exposed to the allergen,
(3) colds are associated with feeling tired and achy,
(4) the mucus in the allergies is usually clear while it may be yellow in the common cold
You may want to consider starting her on vitamins , particularly vitamin C to boost her immunity. In addition it has been found that the use of probiotics which are found in yogurt can also help with immunity.
