Hi
According to World Health Organization (WHO), Diarrhoea is the passage of 3 or more loose or liquid stools per day, or more frequently than is normal for the individual. I don't know the age of your baby, it may or may not be diarrhea according to his age / bowel habit.
However, what does it matter with the definition? If your baby is not getting dehydrated / any danger signs like shrunken eyes, dry mouth, decreased urine output - he is safe. Feed him sufficient so that he doesn't get dehydrated. If he is still breast feeding, feed him frequently. Visit doctor immediately if any danger sign is there.
The stool report is OK. For Pus cells 3-4 / HPF - don't worry. Normal stool is slightly alkaline.
Acidic stool is common in gastrointestinal infection (like Rotavirus) infancy and childhood. It may be due to the food habit of your baby. And diarrhea itself may turns the stool acidic.
Hello sumi, the report you mentioned is suggestive of abdominal bacterial infection or normal equivalent however it needs to be correlated with the clinical picture. If your child is passing loose stools with frequency more than 3 to 4 times a day , foul smelling with features of dehydration , chest in drawing and loss of skin turgor then it can be attributed to diarrhoea . Please get your child evaluated by a paediatrician . Take care
