Child Have Bumps On Various Parts Of The Body Along With Itching. No Medication Till Now. What To Do?

My 34 month old grandson has blotchy, itchy palms; small, pin-point slow-to-heal itchy single bumps have been appearing on various parts of his body; he's developed a bald spot on the side of his head that is pinkish in color and is oval in shape (about an inch in length). He has a constantly runny nose, which his parents say is common for children attending daycare. He has a habit of touching his bottom, putting his finger in his nose and then putting it in his mouth (not necessarily in that order or all at the same time). He seems to be having having a hard time adjusting to his 8 month old sister. His parents placed him in daycare when the mom returned to work. He cries every time he goes, even though the number of days and hours has been cut back. Almost everyday he asks/says, "no school" or "Today is not a school day".

Could all these symptoms and behavior be related? His parents are taking him to his pediatrician the beginning of June and do not seem to be overly concerned about the symptoms/behavior. Do you think stress is a factor?
Thank you

Hi,

The skin lesions being itchy most probably might be allergic or fungal.
For confirm diagnosis you will have to meet a dermatologist .

As far as the Tantrums your grandson is throwing is basically due Sibling Rivalry.Sending him to day care might not solve the problem .He also needs similar attention as his baby sister. He will have to be involved in the care of his sister so that he develops a sense of responsibilty towards her.

Regards
Take Care.
