Child Having Recurring Ear And Throat Infection, Cough, Cold With Running Nose. X-ray, Blood Tests Normal. How Can I Increase Her Immunity?
My grand daughter 3 1/2 years old attends daycare and every other week she is down with........ 1) Ear infection or 2) Throat infection or 3) Caugh and cold with running nose. or 4) high fever...100, 101..102 up to 103 some times. Her cest X-ray is clear, Blood test is normal. How can improve her immune system ?
Ear infection, throat infection with cough and cold with running nose and high fever indicate upper respiratory infection.
But if it is frequent than it could be because of acute or chronic adenotonsilitis.
Adenotonsils are lymphoid system of the body which guards around aerodigestive tract against common pathogens.
But itself get infected sometimes and become source of infection subsequently.
You can give your grand daughter antihistamine drugs for a month or two. Avoid cold ,head bath and cold foods/drinks.
I would advise you to see an ENT specialist for thorough examination.
