Child Hit Her Chin. Gave Call Pol, Ice Pack. Redish Bruise Underneath Chin, Has Swelling. Treatment?
Hi, My 3 yr old was running through our house and landed hard on her chin on laminate floor. She cried for a while and complained of it hurting, I gave her call pol and ice pack and it seemed to help. She has redish bruise to the side of underneath her chin and slight swelling but doesn't want any more cal pol....do I need to seek further medical advice such as hospital X-ray ?
Hi dear,
Thanks for your query to health care magic. Injury to chin probably is not so severe enough to go to the hospital. Your first aid is good enough. Keep continuing the same. Calpol can be safely given thrice a day after food. It reduces pain as well as swelling. DOn't worry he will be alright in one or two days. Only if things doesn't improve then you need to take him to a doctor.
Take care
