Child Taken Antibiotics For Cough. Taken Ciplacef. Safe To Take Gupisone?
my kid got a sever cough she been using some antibiotic and cough syrup but no improvement five days ago a doctor priscribe her ciplacef 2gm injection for five day n she improved alot and now the doctor priscribe to her gupisone 20mg tab od for five days.my question is.is it safe for her to use gupisone 20 tab..she is 11yrs old 43kg weight?

This medicine has been added to your child to act as fast anti inflammatory to relieve the symptoms, because excessive cough which is usually a allergic/viral, do not respond to antibiotics.
Dose appears to be ok as prednisolone can be given up to 2mg/kg/day.
