Constant Cough, Irritated Painful Throat, No Appetite, Hot At Night. Diagnosed Common Cold. Concerning?

hi my name is Suaad, for the past few days i have been coughing non stop, my throat hurts and irritates specially at night, i have been having this problem since December but it comes and goes, i get really hot at night and i feel like i can't breath, i have been to my GP but they don't really give me an answer, they say its a cold that comes and goes, but i don't get a runny nose, also, whenever i get these symptoms i seem to be losing my appetite, should i be worried or is this just another cold?

hello Suaad, i think you have to take it easy. this could be a more severe lower respiratory tract infection and you may need to do a chest x-ray and treated appropriatly with antibiotics. also, you have to ensure you are not allergic to any environmental pollutant. take care
