Constant Fever, Headaches, Chills, Muscle Pain, Cough, On Paracetamol, Not Pregnant. Can I Take Clarithromycin?
I have had a temperature for 48 hrs with headaches , chills muscle pain and a productive cough . I am normally a fit and healthy women of 42 and am not on any other medication. I am finding it difficult to control my temp talking back to back paracetamol and I do have a course of clarithromycin 500mg in my cupboard. I am not pregnant. Shall I take?

Thanks for the query.
It seems like you are having an acute viral fever. Clarithromycin is not required at this stage. Continue to take Paracetamol every 6 hours. Wait for a day more for the fever to subside.
If your symptoms do not improve, you may take clarithromycin. Make sure you are not allergic to it.
