Cough For The Past Few Days Now He Had Severe Throat Pain

Hello doctor , Myself Haripriya microbiologist by profession.This query is for my dad who had cough for the past few days.Now he had severe throat pain and had gone to a doc. Doctor had prescribed 5 medicines which include Bijocef 200,Levosetride 5,Neuropine Forte,Mefgesic Forte and one cough syrup.My question is that do such tablets essential for such a throat pain.

I think u mean "neurobion forte' and cafgesic forte. Neurobon forte can be stopped and also cafgesic can be stopped if he has no fever. Continue taking the other two tablets.
