Hi Dear,

Welcome to the platform of Health Care Magic.

Suffering with Upper respiratory tract infection viral or bacterial 6 to 12 times in a year is supposed to be normal.

Not to worry much but every episode should be tackled properly to prevent from developing any complication like bronchopneumonia. otitis media etc.

His nasal blockage can be overcome by pouring normal saline drops in both the nostrils frequently or when ever there is blockage. Babies are obligatory nasal breather and they cannot sleep or feed properly when ever the nose is blocked with nasal secretions.

RTi usually spread to the babies when ever they are exposed to infected individual by droplets of sneeze or cough. This should be prevented by avoiding such persons to come in contact with babies.

Exclusive breast feeding should be maintained minimal of six month of age. Exclusive breast feeding gives robust immunity to the babies against these infections and is quite helpful.

Antihistamine,Decongestant medicines help a lot in reducing the congestion and nasal secretions.

Hope the query is answered and is useful to you.
Thanks
