Hello
Welcome in H.C.M.
I have gone through your query regarding coughing, hoarse voice, chest congestion and sinus issue.
On the basis of your clinical history it appears as you are most likely having
respiratory tract infection involving nose and sinuses, throat and
larynx. Laryngeal involvement is expected as there is
hoarseness of voice.
For making a diagnosis and plan for treatment you should do these basic investigations-
1- C.T. Scan of
paranasal sinuses.
2- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.
3- Gram's staining of throat swab.
4- X-Ray chest.
5- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F& PP).
Inferences of above investigations are to be co-related with clinical findings of your ENT doctor to get proper diagnosis. Till you are waiting for specialist you may take-
a- Steam inhalation.
b-
Mucolytic and decongestant.
c- Adequate fluid orally.
d- Broad spectrum antibiotic.
I hope above will help you and I am wishing for speedy recovery.
Regards.
