Could I Be Pregnant Post 1.5 Mnths After My Last Period And Withh All Pregnancy Symptoms But Negative Pre Test?
Hello I am currently one and half months later for my period. I had an iud removed January 13th. We have been having unprotected sex.I have had nausea without vomiting, cramps, heartburn, lower back and legs are aching i have horrible fatigue just no energy and my face is breaking out in acne terribly. I have used at home tests and all are negative. I went a few weeks ago for a pap and took a urine test there. It read negative and they were even surprised and the doctor said my uterus felt "pretty normal" but she told me to watch for my period and test again. I think I need a blood test but could I be pregnant?
Hi, You do have symptoms of early pregnancy, but it could be misleading too, if you have a hormonal imbalance that could be delaying the period. The only way to clarify the issue is to get the serum beta-hCG titres estimated along with a trans-vaginal sonogram to confirm/exclude pregnancy. Once the presence or absence of pregnancy is sorted out, further management can be planned. If the serum titres are detectable yet low, you would need a repeat titre on alternate days to see if they are doubling, which indicates good prognosis. Hope this helps.
