iam 32 year women married and having 1 year kid.i inserted Copper T nearly a year ago. i was 82kgs at the time of marriage after delivery i was 102kgs.now i reduced to 95kgs but iam not able to reduce weight.my husband is saying bcos of copper t insertion only my weight doesnt reduce.is that so doctor???can u give details?
The copper IUD doesn't cause weight gain, as it is hormone-free. It is reported in people on hormonal IUD. The noted effects of copper T will be break through bleeding, more cramping, back pain etc. Weight gain in your case might be due to PCOD, Thyroid disorders, anemia etc. I advise you to do: - TFT and complete hemogram to rule out the above conditions - Have diet control - Do regular exercises
