Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
When my daughter was 10 years old (she is now 41) she had an I.V.Pyelogram which showed that she had an extra calyx on one of her kidneys. The test was done because she was showing protein (I believe or possibly albumen - don't remember) on her blood test. Now that she is much older she is having back pain. She had a MRI which showed mild degeneration but nothing serious. Her Dr. suggested P.T. which she just recently completed after many weeks of therapy. Her back pain has not gotten better and her Orthopedic Dr. suggested she see an internist. Could this extra calyx somehow be causing some kidney problem and back pain?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you there are having chronic backache. I Don't think extra calyx can be cause of chronic backache . Important cause of chronic backache is vitamin D3 deficiency so you can get your vitamin D3 level and if low you can take its supplements.Vitamin B and C with be helpful in recovery. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any further questions then don't hesitate to writing to us . I will be happy to help you.
