Could The Fever While Having Sinus Infection Be A Matter Of Concern?
My 15 year son is just home from the doctors, he was diagnosed with a sinus infection. He did not have a fever at the doctors and is now at 102. His stomache hurts. I gave him his first dose of medication 1 hour ago... a nazal spray called avamys and 1 pill (500g) Cefprozil.
(the fever was there before I gave him the medication)...
My question is... how high of a fever before I should be really worried
102 is quite high temparature and you should give medications for it. It is quite natural to get fever while having sinusitis. It needs to be treated by antibiotics, Anti-cold medicines, nasal decongestant drops and tab. paracetamol for few days. You have not mentioned the treatment advised by your doctor. Kindly furnish the details of his problems and investigation carried out and the treatment advised by your doctor. Thanks and Regards Dr Nandu Kolwadkar
