Could The Lower Abdominal Constant Pain In My Ovaries Caused Due To The Intake Of Cerazette?
Hello I have been taking Cerazette for a year now. It was fine in the beginning but I have now been bleeding like once a month (for few weeks). Yesterday I started feeling unwell with lower abdominal constant pain in my ovaries. Could all this be linked to Cerazette???I have decided ti stop taking it as I am really worried. I am 40.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Progesteronecontraceptive pills can cause side effects like intermenstrual spotting, pain abdomen etc. If you used the tablets as per the guidelines the possibility of pregnancy is less. For more details : http://srsree.blogspot.com/2013/12/guidelines-for-usage-of-progesterone.html Usually with progression of time, the side effects will decrease. If you are afraid of the side effects, after completion of one pack, immediately you can shift to some other contraceptive method. If you are not having any contraindication for combined hormonal pills, you can choose them. If you are having any contraindication, you can go for progesterone depo injections or progesterone containing intrauterine contraceptive device etc. Take care.
