Could The Missed Periods After Stopping Contraceptive Pills Be Due To Pregnancy?
Hi I stopped taking birth control 8 days into the last pill packet I had a bleed roughly 5 days later for 2-3 days which I think was some kind of interim bleed so am I still due normal period or should it be a month after the interim bleed. Is it possible that I am pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for your question. This bleeding is most likely to be your period & now a new cycle has began. However, since you stopped the pill before finishing the packet your birth control protection was gone, & if you were having unprotected intercourse before & after periods you may conceive any time. Please do a pregnancy test if you miss your next period or you have any sign or symptoms of pregnancy. Take care.
