Could Weight Gain And Spotting Be The Side Effects Of Tri Previfem?
Hello. I m 46 years old and have been on the pill since my 20 s. I had been using Tri-linea (spelling?) without any issues. In November, my pharmacy replaced it with Tri-Previfem. Since taking it, I ve gained approx. 7 pounds. In the last 2 months, I ve experienced cramps the week before my period is due with a spotty, dark brown discharge. I m in excellent health. Could my symptoms be caused by the change to Tri-Previfem?

Birth control pills can cause these side effects due to its hormonal contents. You can consult your gynecologist and switch to progesterone only pills which has got lesser side effects.
